I finally sold all of my prints and handmade books that were in the Print Sale. Yay for me! This is the first time people bought my art other than my family. Baby steps. LOL. Here’s some pics of my handmade books that were sold.

First Showing In 4 Years

I haven’t been showing my work for quite some time because I wasn’t confident with my art. But lately I’ve been thinking that it’s time to get over it and just show whatever I have. So here’s two pieces from my Go-Rilla series which were shown last month from March 24-27 in ‘Printciples’ by the Print Collective of UCF.

What’s Up So Far?

Hey I haven’t written on my blog for a while (obviously). Right now I’m on spring break so I have some time for myself to do whatever. Hmmm. Where to begin? (looking at what I wrote the last time). Okay…Sharapova…what a disappointment…I was hoping that you’d start playing singles but I guess we can’t have everything. Hopefully she’ll play singles in Miami.

I’m just going to write very randomly so I’ll jump from one subject to another. I saw ‘Watchmen’ last week. Very good. I read the comic and the movie was almost exactly like it. At the moment I’m reading ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.’ Awesome storytelling. I’m in a DC comic fix. If I said that when I was in middle school I wouldn’t believe it because I was (and still) a Marvel fan.

Two weeks ago I went to MegaCon (my 9th year). Nowhere else I feel normal. LOL. I a lot of people are hardcore serious fanatics. I don’t ever think I was. But I do enjoy attending every year. This year however felt slightly different just because I kinda feel I’m getting old for it. I keep saying that next year is my last year and I end up going. I guess I like the escape.

Okay now for the personal life. Funny story. Around January I thought that I could try to be more outgoing. Stupid idea. LOL. I got rejected by a guy who works at BJs (no not blowjobs). Really pathetic. My confidence took a tumble for a while. Let’s just say I’m now a member at Sam’s Club.

The 411

Okay so I haven’t been on the computer for a while because I don’t have wireless around the house right now…first off I am taking 3 classes this semester because I don’t want to stress myself out.  I was to the point where I was about to take a whole semester off.  But that idea was just crazy.  So I’m just taking it easy and going along with the flow.  The art department in UCF is getting worse and worse so I guess that’s one of the reasons why it was hard coming back.  Well this time I’m taking the long way in finishing because there’s no point in stressing myself out.

So last time I wrote I think I mentioned about learning Tagalog.  Since I have a little time for myself I’ve been practicing my Tagalog.  Not much yet but I’m understanding little by little everyday.

So Here’s The Thing

Now that school started I’ve been deciding whether to take some classes or drop them.  I’m getting a headache just deciding what to do.  The only thing on my mind right now is just finishing because I’m seriously getting tired of UCF.  It’s come to a point where I’m forcing myself to come back.  Well maybe something will change in time.

Here’s The Update

So my internet connection was disconnected and I haven’t been near a computer for a couple days already.  Let’s see what I’ve missed to tell.  Federer won Gold in doubles.  Nadal is still steamrolling everyone else.  Surprisingly Dementieva won Gold.  The Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie is moved to next year. (Those b*tches at warner bros).  The fall semester starts next week.   And Fay is coming to Florida!  Why couldn’t it wait until next week?!  LOL.

What’s Happening With Me

I’m going to make this my own category about anything daily happening to me.  First off I just want to say I updated my myspace profile.  Okay so today I was bummed about several things.  Roger Federer losing in the Quarterfinals in the Olympics.  Now he doesn’t have a chance of getting a medal.  What does that have to do with me?  Well I like him and he inspires me, not a very good role model at the moment.  Second I’m having doubts about returning to school.  Third my inability to retain enough tagalog to make a conversation.  I guess I’ve been bitching too much about my problems.  I just need to vent out my feelings.

Just to clarify things.  I will return for the fall semester, but with just a minimal goal of finishing school.  And I’m teaching myself tagalog because my parents didn’t teach me.  I’m having a hard time.  At my rate I’m not able to say much other than a few phrases.  I feel like a non-filipino Filipino.  Sucks. Well I’m trying to find some tagalog cds and books I can lay my hands on, so I can learn.  I want be fully Filipino, not just some asian guy who can’t even speak his own native language.
